New Orleans Saints wide receiver Chris Olave (concussion) suffered his second concussion back in Week 9 and has not played since.
Olave was placed on the Injured Reserve after that contest and has now been out for the team's past two games. But how long can fans expect Olave to be sidelined?
Will Olave play again in 2024 or is he out for the year?

Is Chris Olave Out For The Season?
It's unclear how long Chris Olave will be out, but he has to miss at least two more games as he was placed on the Injured Reserve. That means Olave is out for Week 13 and Week 14, but he could return for Week 15 when the Saints face the Washington Commanders.
Whether or not Olave is back for that game will depend on a number of factors. Head injuries are tough to predict, so we have to take a wait-and-see approach here, but the severity of the concussion Olave suffered definitely puts doubt on his chance of playing again in 2024.
This is exactly what Tom Brady was referencing when he talked about good Quarterbacks not putting their receivers in dangerous situations.

Olave took a huge hit in his last game and has a fairly long history of concussions, so there's certainly no guarantee that he's cleared to return in Week 15, though we have seen players return faster than expected before.
While Olave has not been ruled out for the season and definitely could play again this year, fantasy managers should be prepared for the possibility that the Saints play it safe with Olave, especially with New Orleans sitting outside of the playoff picture at the moment.
New Orleans Saints Wide Receiver Fantasy Football Outlook
With Olave sidelined, the Saints have a lot of questions at wide receiver. Last game, no wide receiver had more than four targets as the team instead focused on getting the ball to Taysom Hill, who was targeted 10 times.
Marquez Valdes-Scantling is likely to serve as the No. 1 wide receiver for now and has boom-or-bust appeal as he has three touchdown receptions in the past two games.

Players like Kevin Austin, Cedrick Wilson Jr., and Dante Pettis will get snaps but can be ignored in fantasy.
If Olave returns, he would have appeal as a WR3 play, as he would instantly be the team's No. 1 receiver again.
