Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin was the 84th overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft. Godwin had a productive college career, totaling 154 receptions for 2,421 receiving yards and 18 touchdowns in three years at Penn State.
The former Nittany Lion wide receiver had a quiet rookie season, totaling 34 receptions on 55 targets for 525 receiving yards and one touchdown. Godwin had 59 receptions on 95 targets for 842 receiving yards and seven touchdowns the following year. However, the former Penn State had a third-year breakout in 2019.
Godwin had 86 receptions on 121 targets for 1,333 receiving yards and nine touchdowns, all career highs. Furthermore, the veteran was the WR2 that year, averaging 16.6 half-point PPR fantasy points per game. More importantly, he had at least 1,000 receiving yards or seven touchdowns every year since his breakout season.

What Did Chris Godwin Accomplish In 2022?
Last year Godwin had 104 receptions on 142 targets for 1,023 receiving yards and three touchdowns. While his receiving yards and touchdowns were down from the 2021 season, the veteran wide receiver set career highs in receptions and targets last year.
More importantly, the former Penn State star had a productive fantasy season despite missing two games and leaving others early. Godwin was the WR20 in 2022, averaging 11.4 half-point PPR fantasy points per game.
Is Chris Godwin Injured Or Healthy?
The veteran wide receiver dealt with multiple injuries last season. He tore his ACL late in the 2021 campaign. The injury put his status for Week 1 in doubt. However, Godwin played in the opening-week matchup against the Dallas Cowboys.
Unfortunately, the former Penn State star wide receiver only played 31% of the snaps before leaving the game early with an injury. The veteran missed the next two games because of the injury but returned in Week 4 with a strong performance, totaling seven receptions on 10 targets for 59 receiving yards.
Godwin dealt with hip and knee injuries last season. However, the former Penn State star recently said that he feels so much better this offseason than a year ago. He is also excited about being healthy entering the 2023 season.
