Fantasy Football owners are likely in agreement that Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin, when healthy, has been one of the most consistent and reliable producers in fantasy for the last couple of years.
However, "when healthy" is the key phrase. Godwin has dealt with some serious injury issues in the recent past, and fantasy owners are on pins and needles.

Chris Godwin Injury Updates For Fantasy Football
In many of these injury articles, you'll often find negative news surrounding one of your favorite fantasy football stars. Not today fantasy fans, as it's all glass half full in this column. This past week, Godwin told reporters that he feels "night and day" compared to this time last year and that his explosiveness is coming back.
EXCITEMENT ALERT!!!! Fantasy managers hearing that news will want to avoid pulling any muscles themselves by jumping up and down while envisioning their prized wideout catching a billion balls in 2023.
But slow your roll fantasy managers because number 14 will no longer have the greatest of all time throwing him passes. Tom Brady won't be walking through that door in 2023, but the likes of Baker Mayfield or Kyle Trask will be. Yikes. Saying that is taking a step back would be the understatement of the century.
Will Chris Godwin Be Ready For The Start Of The 2023 NFL Season?
The 27-year-old had an incredible comeback season in 2022 after suffering a devasting knee injury at the start of 2021. He started slow, but finished hard and fast, compiling 104 receptions for 1,023 yards and three touchdowns.
Over the course of 15 games last year, Godwin was a target machine as Brady looked his way a remarkable 142 times, and was clearly his "go-to" WR. With the GOAT no longer throwing him the football, it is undeniable that those numbers will drop, and perhaps significantly.
But even without Tom Terrific behind center, there is still a solid chance that the 2017 third-round draft pick will be a valuable and productive fantasy player this upcoming season. He's a veteran who knows how to get open, he's got some of the best hands in the game, and he's a target monster. All things that should translate to fantasy success in 2023 regardless of who his quarterback is.
