Cleveland Browns wide receiver Cedric Tillman (concussion) has now missed five games due to a concussion he suffered in Week 12. This is extremely concerning, as typically players recover from traumatic brain injuries much more quickly.
His continued absence means he's still in concussion protocol, and with the end of the season drawing near, it's worth wondering if Cleveland will opt to shut him down for the season. They've been eliminated from playoff contention for many weeks now after a tumultuous year.
So will Tillman play again in 2024?

Is Cedric Tillman Out For The Season?
There hasn't been official word from the team yet, but for our money, we'd say they won't have him play in Week 18. It makes sense to shut him down and give him the offseason to recover. But it's hard to guess what teams will do.

There are other players that the team should probably shut down as well. And from what we can see, he doesn't have any incentives to reach. This means there isn't much reason for him to play other than to try to end the season on a high note or due to his competitive nature.
And with quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson running the show, there may not be much motivation to play. Thompson-Robinson has now thrown zero passing scores and six interceptions on the season, and led a completely ineffective offense. He's been one of the league's worst passers this season.
The offense is now seemingly light years away from the extremely explosive, high upside unit it was when quarterback Jameis Winston was running the show. But he was benched after a zero touchdown, three interception performance of his own in Week 18, and isn't likely to return. So we doubt Tillman plays again this year. There just doesn't seem to be much reason to.
