Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Calvin Ridley hasn't played an NFL snap since early in the 2021 season but is being drafted as a WR2 in fantasy football this year.
He has an elite 1300-yard 9 touchdown season on his resume, finishing as the WR4 in 2020. Drafters are extremely optimistic about his role in this high-powered Jaguars offense and think he's poised for another elite-level season.
After a few exciting viral clips to start training camp, Ridley was said to have a "toe injury" before taking the field this morning. Is this cause for concern? Let's dive in.

Calvin Ridley Injury Update
UPDATE 8/2: Jaguars' HC Doug Pederson told reporters that WR Calvin Ridley has a toe injury
As mentioned above, Ridley was said to have a toe injury and "will be limited" before practice. Speculation was that he could have picked up a mild sprain, turf toe, or even a stress fracture.
Shortly after, it was noted that Ridley was one of the first Jaguars players on the field before practice. Additionally, a video surfaced of him seemingly running a full-speed route without any limp or hesitation.
It appears he also participated in 1-on-1 and team drills at full speed, showing no signs of being limited by a toe injury.
Is Calvin Ridley's Injury Cause for Concern?
In the end, Ridley's "toe injury" ended up being an issue with his cleats, which has now been resolved.
RotoBaller's Robert Lorge endorses drafting Calvin Ridley and is "all-in" at his current price tag. Rest assured, this minor injury doesn't appear to be a cause for concern. It's business as usual for his draft stock, along with the rest of the Jaguars' offensive weapons. Fantasy managers should continue drafting Ridley as a WR2 with upside in rounds three and four.
