Is Brock Purdy Out For The Season?
While Purdy was absent from San Francisco's Week 12 loss to the Green Bay Packers, it doesn't sound like the injury will cost Purdy too much more time, if any at all.
Update here from @DanGrazianoESPN on Brock Purdy (shoulder).
Note that the 5-6 #49ers are roughly 17% to make the playoffs at this point. And they play at Buffalo Sunday night. pic.twitter.com/IyxgFMeK9o

ESPN's Dan Graziano reported that Purdy practiced on Monday before resting on Tuesday. The team is set to evaluate him on Wednesday and will, as Graziano says, "take it from there."
Purdy could certainly miss Sunday's game against the Buffalo Bills, but it looks pretty certain that Purdy won't be sidelined for the remainder of the 2024 season.
San Francisco 49ers Quarterback Fantasy Football Outlook
With Purdy out this past week, the 49ers turned to Brandon Allen at quarterback. The results were not great, as Allen was 17-for-29 for 199 yards with a touchdown and an interception. He added five rushing yards and fumbled twice, losing one of them.
If Allen ends up starting against the Bills this week, he should be completely off the fantasy radar. The 32-year-old backup quarterback is 2-8 all-time as a starter and has completed just 56.8% of his career pass attempts with 11 touchdown passes and seven interceptions.
To everyone who says Brock Purdy is only good because of all the weapons the 49ers have…

If Purdy plays, fantasy managers likely need to start him even in a tough matchup. He's finished as fantasy QB1 in five consecutive games. Keep an eye out for updates as we approach the weekend.
