The Las Vegas Raiders' decision to draft Brock Bowers with the 13th overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft left many people surprised. The team had already drafted another emerging tight end, Michael Mayer, last year, and it was not a position of need.
However, getting a player of Bowers' caliber has significantly improved the Raiders offense. The Georgia product will be their TE1 immediately, and he is a highly sought-after player in fantasy football drafts this year.
Can Bowers be the TE1 for your fantasy football team this year? Let's look at his fantasy outlook, which will help you determine the strategy for the Raiders star.

Brock Bowers 2024 Fantasy Football Outlook
Brock Bowers is one of the most highly touted tight-end prospects to enter the league in recent memory. He impressed everyone during his three-year tenure at Georgia and played a huge role in its two national championship wins.
In 40 games for Georgia, he had 175 receptions for 2,538 yards and 26 touchdowns. Moreover, Bowers also had 19 carries for 193 yards and rushed for five touchdowns. It shows that the Raiders will use the tight end in various formations. Since he is a first-round pick, the 21-year-old player will have a decent workload in his rookie season.
We might see the Raiders running two-tight-end sets with Bowers and Mayer, which will be quite difficult to deal with for opposition defenses. Although the Raiders also have star players like Davante Adams and Jakobi Meyers on offense, Bowers is expected to play a significant role for his team.

He has an average draft position of No. 12 among the tight ends. Bowers can be placed in the second tier of his position behind the likes of Travis Kelce, Mark Andrews, and Sam LaPorta. In a 10-12 team league, Bowers can be considered a TE1 for your roster; however, if your league has fewer members, I would prefer targeting players like Kelce, Andrews, LaPorta, Kyle Pitts, and Dalton Kincaid ahead of him.
Bowers has the potential to become the best tight end in the league. But, since there are several other star players already on the Raiders offense, the rookie might take some time to become the go-to guy for his quarterback eventually.
