New York Jets running back Breece Hall was the 36th overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft. Hall had an excellent college career at Iowa State. He had 186 rushing attempts for 897 yards and nine touchdowns his freshman year.
The following year Hall had a breakout season. He had 279 rushing attempts for 1,572 yards and 21 touchdowns. Yet, he was even better in 2021, totaling 253 rushing attempts for 1,472 yards and 20 touchdowns in 12 games.
More importantly, the former Iowa State star was outstanding during his rookie year. He had 80 rushing attempts for 463 yards and four touchdowns in four games. Furthermore, Hall had 19 receptions on 31 targets for 218 receiving yards and a touchdown.

Is Breece Hall Injured Or Healthy?
The former Iowa State was on his way to winning the Offensive Rookie of the Year award race until he suffered a torn ACL in the Week 7 matchup against the Denver Broncos. Unfortunately, the injury ended his rookie season.
More importantly, Hall started training camp on the Physically Unable to Perform list because of the torn ACL from last year. While the Jets suggested the second-year running back wouldn’t be on the list for long, Hall missed the first few weeks of training camp.
Thankfully the former Iowa State star came off the Physically Unable to Perform list today. However, that doesn’t mean the second-year running back will play in Week 1.
Should I Draft Breece Hall At His ADP?
Last year J.K. Dobbins was coming off a torn ACL he suffered during the 2021 preseason. While the Baltimore Ravens running back didn’t start the season on the Physically Unable to Perform list, he did miss the first two games last year.
More importantly, the Jets don’t need to rush Hall back on the field. Yesterday, New York signed Dalvin Cook to a one-year contract worth up to $8.6 million.
Unfortunately, Cook’s arrival is bad news for Hall’s fantasy value. Instead of Hall having a featured workload, the Jets will split the touches between the two running backs.
According to RotoBaller ADP, Hall has an early fourth-round ADP in 12-team leagues and is the 12th running back off the board. While his ADP will slide over the next few weeks, fantasy players shouldn’t draft the former Iowa State star until the late fifth round of their drafts.
