Denver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix has emerged as a viable fantasy option in recent weeks. He's now logged games of 23.1, 19.7, 29.8, and 16.7 fantasy points, and is currently the QB8 overall in fantasy ahead of his Week 10 divisional showdown with the rival Kansas City Chiefs.
Nix seems to have adjusted well after scoring single-digit fantasy points in three of his first four games, and it's certainly helped him to have a head coach in Sean Payton, who's renowned for his offensive schemes. No. 10 seems to be coming along nicely after a rough initial stretch.
But is he a good pickup off waivers ahead of Week 10 of NFL action?

What Did Bo Nix Do In Week 9?
He didn't have a very good passing game against the Baltimore Ravens last week. Although he did catch a touchdown pass, he wasn't able to score any passing touchdowns. He completed 19 of 33 passes for 223 yards and one interception. He also rushed six times for 36 yards.

His versatility contributing in both the running, passing and receiving game is noteworthy for fantasy, though it's unlikely we see him play much as a receiver this season. Trick plays are cool, but they're rare for a reason -- they tend to work best when the defense doesn't know they're coming.
Still, he's been a bona-fide QB1 in fantasy over the last five weeks.
Is Bo Nix A Good Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Pickup In Week 10?
He's a solid player to add as a streaming option for now. He has great upside, but can be matchup-dependent. He'll face the tough Kansas City Chiefs defense in Week 10, and while they've been solid against quarterbacks all year, they were carved up by Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield to the tune of 200 yards and two touchdowns in Week 9.

Nix's ability to avoid sacks and shy away from turnover-worthy plays also help his fantasy value tremendously. In picking him up, you'd hope he could start getting a little bit better play out of his receivers, but that's not impossible. And while he may not be a great start every week, he's one of the better fantasy options out there.
