Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty will enter the 2025 NFL Draft as one of the top prospects in the class. Following his historic final college season with the Broncos, he will no doubt be the first running back selected in the draft.
Jeanty might also find himself selected in the top 15 of the draft. He just had one of the greatest seasons of all time, and we have seen teams take running backs high in recent years. Both Bijan Robinson and Jahmyr Gibbs were selected in the top 12 in the 2023 NFL Draft.
So, is Jeanty already a top-5 dynasty running back? Let's dive in.

Ashton Jeanty College Stats
It was impressive what Jeanty accomplished in his final season at Boise State. He ran 374 times for 2,601 yards and 29 touchdowns while catching 23 passes for 138 yards and one touchdown in the passing game. Those 2,601 rush yards ranked second all-time in FBS history, only behind Barry Sanders' 2,628 rush yards in 1988.

Jeanty just had one of the greatest college seasons ever for a running back. On top of his strong numbers, he was named the Mountain West Conference Offensive Player of the Year for the second straight season and won the Doak Walker Award, which is given to the best college football running back.
As a result, Jeanty will be selected early in the 2025 NFL Draft. He rushed for 3,948 yards and 43 touchdowns in his last two college seasons at Boise State and averaged 6.6 yards per carry on the ground during those two years. Any team that drafts him will almost certainly see an improvement on offense.
Is Ashton Jeanty A Top-5 Dynasty Running Back in Fantasy Football?
As crazy as it sounds, Jeanty is already a top-5 dynasty running back. Even though we don't know where he will land in the 2025 NFL Draft, it's hard to put many running backs over him in dynasty leagues. Not only is he one of the more talented running backs to come out of college in recent years, but he will likely be drafted in the top 15.
On top of that, Jeanty just turned 21 years old, which will make him one of the youngest running backs in the NFL when he makes his debut. The Boise State product also won't turn 22 until the beginning of December. So, it's fair to say he is already a top-five dynasty running back. He is extremely young and has the talent to be an All-Pro-type running back in the league one day.

The best landing spots for Jeanty early in the draft are likely the Chicago Bears and Dallas Cowboys. Both teams could use a running back like him on offense, and he would be a strong fantasy option right away. The only running backs that dynasty managers might prefer over him right now are Gibbs and Robinson.
