Is Antonio Gibson Hurt Or Healthy?
Washington Commanders' running back Antonio Gibson has produced at a solid, if unspectacular, clip in 2022. Gibson has been locked in a committee backfield with rookie Brian Robinson since Robinson returned to action in Week 5.
Unfortunately, Gibson has been dealing with a foot injury this week. After practicing on a limited basis Wednesday, Gibson was downgraded to a non-participant for Washington's Thursday session. He was able to return to Friday's practice on a limited basis, which means he does have a chance to play this week. Gibson is officially listed as questionable for Week 13 against the Giants.
Antonio Gibson Fantasy Football Outlook for Week 13
Despite being locked in a timeshare with Brian Robinson for the majority of the season, Gibson has still garnered 10 or more touches in six straight games. He's posted 782 total yards and five TDs in 2022.
Though his volume has been solid of late, Gibson's foot injury does appear to be serious, as his complete absence from Washington's Thursday practice would indicate. He carries a questionable tag into the weekend, but even if he does suit up against New York there's a chance Gibson would be working in a severely reduced role.
His fantasy managers are in a tough spot, but those with other viable options should likely play it safe and leave Gibson on their benches this week.
