Indianapolis Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson (back) was unable to practice all week and did not play in Sunday's contest against the New York Giants.
The team has begun to express optimism regarding his status which suggests he could turn the corner in time for a Week 18 return.

Is Anthony Richardson Out For The Season?
On Monday, Kevin Bowen of 1075 The Fan reported that, Richardson is "feeling better" and if healthy will be given the start against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday.
However, he noted that head coach Shane Steichen is still "unsure" if his franchise quarterback will be able to turn the corner in time for the weekend.
Shane Steichen unsure yet if Anthony Richardson will start on Sunday.
Added Richardson is feeling better today, but will see how the week goes.
If healthy, Richardson will start.

While this is not overly positive for his status, this does keep the door open for Richardson to start in the final game of the regular season, even with the Colts eliminated from playoff contention. Fantasy managers should keep a close eye on his practice status throughout the week as it will likely provide clarity on his availability.
Since Week 11, Richardson has begun to find his footing after struggling through the early part of the season. Over his past five games, the Florida product has averaged a solid 23.0 PPR points per game. During this stretch, he has tallied nine total scores (four passing, five rushing) while averaging 51.4 rushing yards per game.

However, he has continued to struggle as a passer throwing five interceptions over this stretch and averaging an underwhelming 171.2 passing yards per game.
While he still needs to develop as a passer, his elite rushing upside has continued to make him a relevant fantasy option. If he is given the start on Sunday, he is worth a look as an upside play in DFS facing a Jacksonville secondary that has allowed the fourth-most PPR points to opposing QBs.
