Detroit Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown was the 112th overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. St. Brown had an outstanding college career, totaling 178 receptions for 2,270 receiving yards and 16 touchdowns at USC. He had a career-high 77 receptions and 1,042 receiving yards and 2019. Yet, the young receiver had seven receiving touchdowns in six games during the 2020 season, a career-high.
St. Brown had a solid rookie season. He had 90 receptions on 119 targets for 912 receiving yards and five touchdowns. More importantly, the rookie ended the year on fire. The former USC star was the WR2 over the final six weeks of the 2021 season, averaging 20.9 half-point PPR fantasy points per game. He had 51 receptions on 67 targets for 560 receiving yards and five touchdowns over those six weeks.
More importantly, St. Brown had a sophomore-year breakout. Despite getting drafted as a No. 3 wide receiver on average, the former USC star was the WR8, averaging 13.4 fantasy points per game. Furthermore, he finished top 10 in receptions and targets last season.

Is Amon-Ra St. Brown Injured Or Healthy?
The former USC star should have another massive year in 2023. Unfortunately, he suffered an ankle injury in practice today. Thankfully, it is reportedly a minor low ankle sprain. St. Brown should be 100% for Week 1.
Should I Draft Amon-Ra St. Brown At His ADP?
According to the RotoBaller ADP, St. Brown is a mid-second-round pick in a 12-team league and the eighth wide receiver off the board.
Fantasy players should be excited to get the former USC star at that cost. The third-year wide receiver has been outstanding during training camp. Furthermore, St. Brown has been Jared Goff’s go-to guy once again.
More importantly, the former USC star has limited competition for targets. Last year St. Brown had 146 targets, the most on the team. Furthermore, he had 76 more than any other Lion. Finishing second on the team was D’Andre Swift. The veteran running back had 70 targets last season.
Detroit added Jahmyr Gibbs and Sam LaPorta during the 2023 NFL Draft. Meanwhile, Jameson Williams had one reception as a rookie. However, the second-year wide receiver will miss the first six games this year with a suspension. The three young pass catchers are no threat to St. Brown’s projected massive target share.
