Cleveland Browns wide receiver Amari Cooper was the fourth overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft by the Oakland Raiders. Cooper had a solid college career, totaling 228 receptions for 3,463 receiving yards and 31 touchdowns in three years at Alabama.
After spending 3.5 years with the Raiders, the star wide receiver got traded to the Dallas Cowboys. Cooper had an impressive four years in Dallas, totaling 292 receptions on 429 targets for 3,893 receiving yards and 27 touchdowns. However, he got traded to the Browns during the 2022 offseason in a salary cap-saving move.
Cooper has played well in Cleveland. Last year, he had 78 receptions on 132 targets for 1,160 receiving yards and nine touchdowns despite playing most of the year with Jacoby Brissett.

Amari Cooper Injury Update For Fantasy Football
While the veteran wide receiver has had a solid 2023 season with the Browns, he has shown up on the injury report multiple times. Yesterday, the former Alabama star took a rough shot to the ribs and left the game against the Denver Broncos.
Thankfully, X-rays were negative, and head coach Kevin Stefanski said Cooper should be fine.
Amari Cooper Fantasy Football Outlook
The Browns’ passing attack has struggled with Deshaun Watson out for the year with a shoulder injury. However, it would completely collapse without the star wide receiver. Thankfully, the veteran has played well with P.J. Walker and Dorian Thompson-Robinson.
Cooper is the WR31, averaging 10.2 half-point PPR fantasy points per game. He has 47 receptions on 86 targets for 765 receiving yards and two touchdowns. The veteran leads the team in targets, receiving yards, and touchdowns while second to David Njoku in receptions.
Hopefully, the former Alabama star can play in Week 13 against the Los Angeles Rams. Thompson-Robinson has a concussion and might not play on Sunday. Therefore, fantasy players might see Joe Flacco make his Cleveland debut against the Los Angeles Rams and their underrated defense.
Los Angeles has surrendered 25.9 fantasy points per game to wide receivers this season, slightly below the league average. However, they have given up 1.3 receiving touchdowns and 32.8 fantasy points per game to wide receivers over their past four matchups. Cooper has top-24 appeal if Flacco starts in Week 13.
