New York Jets wide receiver Allen Lazard (chest) is dealing with a chest injury that had him placed on injured reserve ahead of his team's Week 9 contest. We're now heading into Week 14, meaning he's missed the required four games that a stint on IR must sit out for.
Any time a player goes to IR, even if they aren't hit with a season-ending designation, there are valid questions as to whether they'll play again in the season. Because we don't know much about No. 10's injury, it's possible it could be serious.
Will he miss the rest of 2024, though? Here is the latest update on the status of the Jets' wide receiver.

Is Allen Lazard Out For The Season?
Expectations are that Lazard will play again this season. While the exact details of his injury weren't released by the team, chest injuries don't typically knock players out of action for over half a season. There's finally been some good news about him, too—he had his 21-day practice window opened.
#Jets Injury Report (Wed):
DNP: CB Sauce Gardner (hamstring), RB Breece Hall (knee), RT Morgan Moses (knee/shoulder), RG Alijah Vera-Tucker (ankle)
LP: LT Olu Fashanu (toe)
FP: LB C.J. Mosley (neck), WR Allen Lazard (chest), OL Wes Schweitzer (finger)

He returned to practice for the Jets and was a full participant on Wednesday. It's highly unlikely the team would have him return in this manner if he were to miss the rest of the season. Fantasy managers should expect him to play at some point. Full practice this early in the week indicates that he's likely to be ready by Sunday.
It's always good to stay updated on situations like these, though. We may not get official confirmation until just before the game. And in his first contest back, there may be some rust to shake off. He'll join a losing team that seems directionless, but he should boost the offense, as he often looked like the best receiver for his team when he was playing.
