The Carolina Panthers have been missing wide receiver Adam Thielen, who has been out with a hamstring injury since Week 3.
His absence has left a noticeable void in the Panthers receiving corps, particularly given his veteran leadership. As the wideout nears his return, fantasy managers want to know if he will regain his role as a starter.
Thielen last played in Week 3, facing the Las Vegas Raiders, where he scored a touchdown from quarterback Andy Dalton. The Panthers designated him to return from injured reserve on October 23, opening his 21-day practice window and indicating he will suit up soon.

Will Adam Thielen Start for the Panthers When He Returns?
Thielen is expected to return to a central role for Carolina when he returns. He brought in eight receptions for 109 yards and a score in the three games he played this season.
The 34-year-old has proved to be a dependable target, especially with his ability to make plays in the red zone, which the Panthers need as they continue to develop their passing game.

Panthers have ruled out WR Adam Thielen for Suday’s game due to his hamstring injury, and rookie RB Jonathon Brooks due to his knee injury.

The trade of Diontae Johnson to the Baltimore Ravens has further added opportunities for Thielen, who brings a veteran presence that rookies like Xavier Legette and Jalen Coker can learn from.
While the Panthers' young receiving corps has shown potential, Thielen's experience and consistent hands will likely make him a fundamental option in the offense.
There were talks of him being traded before the NFL trade deadline, but that did not come to fruition.
Adam Thielen Fantasy Football Outlook
Thielen should be viewed as a strong flex option with WR2 upside upon his return. His scoring ability and role in the red zone give him a valuable floor.
If the Minnesota State product is active for Week 10, he should be able to capitalize on the opportunities left behind by the trade.

Fantasy managers should closely monitor Thielen's practice status, as his progress will indicate his readiness to return. Without setbacks, the receiver's experience and established connection with the team could make him a dependable fantasy starter. This is especially true in PPR formats, where his trustworthy hands offer a solid weekly floor.
