Carolina Panthers wide receiver Adam Thielen went undrafted during the 2013 NFL Draft. The former Minnesota State star signed with the Minnesota Vikings. He didn’t play much until the 2016 season. Thielen had 69 receptions on 92 targets for 967 receiving yards and five touchdowns that year.
The former undrafted free agent wide receiver spent nine years with the Vikings, totaling 534 receptions on 776 targets for 6,682 receiving yards and 55 touchdowns. He has nine or more receiving touchdowns three times during his time with Minnesota.
However, Thielen signed with the Panthers this offseason. The veteran wide receiver took over as the team’s No. 1 wide receiver. He had nine receptions on 11 targets for 66 receiving yards and a touchdown over the first two weeks this year. More importantly, Thielen averaged 9.6 half-point PPR fantasy points per game.

What Did Adam Thielen Accomplish In Week 3?
Last week, the former undrafted free agent wide receiver had his best game this year. The veteran had 11 receptions on 14 targets for 145 receiving yards and a touchdown against the Seattle Seahawks. Thielen scored 26 fantasy points in the loss, the fourth-most among wide receivers heading into Monday Night Football.
Furthermore, the veteran wide receiver had an excellent Week 3 performance despite DJ Chark Jr. having four receptions on 11 targets for 86 receiving yards and 16.6 fantasy points against the Seahawks.
Is Adam Thielen A Good Fantasy Football Pickup for Week 4?
The former undrafted free agent wide receiver turned back the clock last week. Thielen had 138 air yards in Week 3, the eighth-most among wide receivers heading into Monday Night Football.
While the veteran had an impressive performance against the Seahawks, fantasy players should consider who his quarterback was in that game. Bryce Young missed the matchup with an ankle injury, leading to Andy Dalton making his first start of the year.
Dalton isn’t the same quarterback he was back in his days with the Cincinnati Bengals. However, the former TCU star is more capable of getting the ball to Thielen than the rookie. While Young could return for the Week 4 matchup against the Minnesota Vikings, the veteran wide receiver is still a solid waiver wire add.
Minnesota surrendered over 70 fantasy points to Keenan Allen, Mike Williams, and Joshua Palmer in Week 3. Furthermore, they have given up 44.2 fantasy points per game to wide receivers this season.
