New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers was the 24th overall pick by the Green Bay Packers in the 2005 NFL Draft. While Rodgers spent the first three years of his NFL career watching from the bench, the former California quarterback became a fantasy superstar.
The future Hall of Famer has been arguably one of the top quarterbacks in fantasy football history. He had 28 or more passing touchdowns in his first three years as the starter. Then Rodgers had 31 or more passing touchdowns in the next five seasons that he played at least 15 games. More importantly, the future Hall of Famer was outstanding in 2020 and 2021.
Rodgers won the NFL MVP award in both years. Furthermore, he averaged 262.9 passing yards, 2.7 touchdowns, and 22.3 fantasy points per game in those two seasons. Unfortunately, the veteran struggled last year playing through a thumb injury on his throwing hand. However, fantasy players should be excited about Rodgers this season.

Is Aaron Rodgers Injured Or Healthy?
The Packers traded the future Hall of Fame quarterback to the Jets this offseason as they turn the page to the Jordan Love era. Rodgers has been a culture changer in New York. Unfortunately, he suffered a minor calf injury in practice today. However, he didn’t miss a snap and appears to be fine.
Should I Draft Aaron Rodgers At His ADP?
According to the RotoBaller ADP, Rodgers is an 11th-round pick in a 12-team league as the 15th quarterback off the board.
While fantasy players want to leave their draft with one of the top eight quarterbacks, not everyone can do that in a 10 or 12-team league. However, the future Hall of Famer is one of my favorite options outside the top eight guys.
Rodgers has a talented set of weapons around him in New York. At the top of the weapons list is Garrett Wilson. Last year the former Ohio State star was the WR19, averaging 10.2 half-point PPR fantasy points per game. Furthermore, he won the Offensive Player of the Year award. More importantly, Wilson and Rodgers have built an elite connection in training camp.
Fantasy players who miss out on one of those top eight quarterbacks should feel confident drafting Rodgers at his ADP. He is a value as an 11th-round pick.
