New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers (knee) has finally seen real action with the team after his first season with the Mean Green ended after just four snaps with an Achilles' tear that sidelined him for all of 2023. Rodgers has thankfully stayed healthy enough to play four games for his new(ish) team.
It hasn't been the best season so far, but most people who follow the NFL can agree that it's been better than having to see QB Zach Wilson take the field every week. The Jets are 2-2, and most people who follow this team know that it would probably be a lot worse if Rodgers weren't under center.
Rodgers was spotted on the sideline dealing with some injury issue during the Jets' last game against the Denver Broncos. Is Rodgers hurt or healthy now? Will he play in Week 5?

Aaron Rodgers Injury Update for Fantasy Football
Rodgers was reportedly dealing with some knee swelling after taking a hit in the 9-10 loss against the Broncos on Sunday. Luckily, Aaron himself updated us on his situation. He seems to be not worried about his ailment much, and that it's just "wear and tear". If he's being honest, he's unlikely to miss a game due to it.

Injury management is vital to his health, especially at this stage of his career. He's 40 years old and was sacked five times. Getting tackled by 230+ pound world-class athletes at the age of 40 is sure to cause some bumps and bruises, and A-Rod likely considers himself lucky that he escaped without anything worse.
He's on track to play in Week 5 and doesn't even have a designation on the injury report. Fantasy managers of Jets players shouldn't anticipate a Rodgers absence or limitation due to his current swelling, and unless it worsens or he picks up a new injury, the whole situation is routine and unremarkable.
Aaron Rodgers Fantasy Football Outlook
Rodgers is having a relatively unremarkable season and hasn't been worth starting. He's cracked 20 fantasy points just once and is currently the QB18 overall. This means he's not worth putting in starting lineups outside of very deep leagues and multi-QB formats like Superflex. Rodgers scored just 11.60 fantasy points last game.
Things could get more interesting if Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams ends up getting traded to the Jets, though, and that's looking more and more likely recently. Adams wants to play with a quarterback he's played with before, knows well, and likes, and Rodgers is a perfect example.

If Tae joins the Jets, Rodgers could push for top-12 fantasy QB status and become more startable in typical single-QB fantasy leagues.
