Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers was a fantasy superstar last season. The future Hall of Famer was the QB5 last year, averaging 20.8 fantasy points per game.
However, the Packers traded away Davante Adams in the offseason. Meanwhile, Marquez Valdes-Scantling signed with the Kansas City Chiefs in free agency.
Heading into the 2022 season, fantasy players expected Rodgers to regress. Yet, no one anticipated the Packers’ season to go the way it has.

Is Aaron Rodgers Healthy Or Injured?
Rodgers is the QB12 for the year, averaging 14.9 fantasy points per game. However, the superstar quarterback confirmed earlier this week that he has played most of the year with a broken thumb on his throwing hand.
The Green Bay quarterback suffered the injury in Week 5 against the New York Giants. Over his next four games, Rodgers averaged 14.1 fantasy points per game, scoring under 16 fantasy points in every contest.
Despite playing with the painful injury, he hasn’t missed a game this year and won’t have surgery until after the season.
Should I Start Aaron Rodgers In Week 12?
Given his play this season, most fantasy players dropped the veteran quarterback from their roster weeks ago. However, he has played better over the past few weeks.
Over the past two weeks, Rodgers has averaged 19.2 fantasy points per game. He has completed 64.4% of his pass attempts for 451 yards, five touchdowns, and zero interceptions during that span. Furthermore, the franchise quarterback has developed a connection with the rookie Christian Watson.
During the past two weeks, Rodgers has thrown all five touchdowns to Watson. Last week, the rookie had two touchdown scores, including an eight-yard score late in the third quarter.
While the superstar quarterback has played well the past two weeks, fantasy players should avoid starting Rodgers in Week 12. The Philadelphia Eagles have held quarterbacks to only 9.3 fantasy points per game this season, the fewest in the NFL.
Furthermore, the Eagles have surrendered only nine passing touchdowns to quarterbacks this year, the second-fewest in the NFL. Philadelphia has given up only two passing touchdowns over their past four games, surrendering only 8.3 fantasy points per game during that span. Despite his recent play, Rodgers is not a top-12 quarterback this week.
