Is Aaron Jones Hurt Or Healthy?
Green Bay running back Aaron Jones was a large source of frustration for fantasy managers in Week 16. Despite entering the weekend with no official injury designation on Green Bay's final injury report, Jones played just 38% of the Packers' snaps against Miami and received only six carries.
Jones confessed after the game that he's battling an ankle injury and that his leg was rolled up on early in the game, which explains why he was clearly behind backfield mate A.J. Dillon throughout the day. Unfortunately, that doesn't help fantasy managers that were battling in their league's playoffs.
Aaron Jones Fantasy Football Outlook for Week 17
Fantasy managers were dealt a bad hand with Jones last week, as he entered the Pack's matchup against the Dolphins with no official injury designation but looked hurt from the get-go.
While Jones asserts that he was hurt on an early play against Miami, it is fair to wonder just how healthy he's been in recent weeks, as A.J. Dillon's role has continued to expand down the stretch.
The good news for fantasy managers is that Green Bay's playoff hopes are still alive, so the team will throw everything that they have at the Minnesota Vikings in Week 17. The bad news is that Jones will still be tough to trust due to his ankle injury and Dillon's growing workload.
Jones' managers should monitor his practice status closely throughout the week. While he'll likely suit up against the Vikings, his GMs could be in for a tough decision if they are battling for a title in "Championship Week".
