Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown has had an outstanding first year with the team. After getting traded in the offseason, the star receiver has put together the best year of his career.
The former Ole Miss star is the WR5 for the year, averaging 15.1 half-point PPR fantasy points per game. He has a career-high 1,304 receiving yards this season with two games left. Furthermore, the star receiver has 10 receiving touchdowns, the third-most in the NFL.
Unfortunately, Brown has dealt with injuries over the past few years. However, he hasn’t missed a game this season.

Is A.J. Brown Healthy Or Injured?
Brown suffered a knee injury last week against the Dallas Cowboys and left the game. At first, the knee injury appeared to be severe. However, the star receiver returned a few plays later and ended the game without a problem.
While his return to the game was excellent news, Brown has been limited in practice the past two days because of the knee injury.
Despite his limited work in practice, there is no reason to think the star receiver won’t play Sunday against the New Orleans Saints. If Brown suits up for the Eagles, he is a must-start for fantasy players.
Who Can I Add Off The Waiver Wire If A.J. Brown Can’t Play?
However, fantasy players should have a backup plan on the slim chance the star receiver doesn’t play this week. A sleeper wide receiver for Week 17 is Isaiah Hodgins. The second-year player is available in over 95% of ESPN leagues.
After starting the year with the Buffalo Bills, Hodgins joined the New York Giants midway through the season. Since joining the team, the second-year receiver has played well.
Over the past four weeks, the former Oregon State star has averaged 12.8 fantasy points per game, making him the WR12 during that span. More importantly, he scored 12.9 or more fantasy points in three of those contests.
Last week the second-year player had the best performance of his career. Hodgins caught eight of 11 targets for 89 receiving yards and a touchdown against the Minnesota Vikings. He ended Week 16 as the WR7 with 18.9 fantasy points.
Hodgins is an excellent last-minute waiver wire addition if Brown doesn’t play this week.
