The NASCAR Cup Series ran the Iowa Corn 350 Presented by Ethanol at Iowa Speedway on Sunday evening, and it was Ryan Blaney who got his first win of the season and secured his spot in this year's playoffs along the way. Blaney led 201 of the 350 laps during the race.
When it came to Green Flag Speed, Blaney was the quickest in that statistic during the Iowa race and was followed by a couple of Hendrick Motorsports drivers, William Byron and Chase Elliott. Fourth-fastest was Josh Berry, and he was followed by Christopher Bell in that statistic.
Of the top-five finishers, Ricky Stenhouse Jr was the lowest-ranking in Green Flag Speed. He was just 16th-fastest in that statistic but finished fifth. A big part of this is because Stenhouse started deep in the field (35th) and he also benefitted from getting a fortunate track position.
