The NASCAR Cup Series ran the Verizon 200 at The Brickyard (Indianapolis Road Course) on Sunday afternoon, and it was Michael McDowell who dominated the event and locked himself into the Playoffs field.
When it came to Green Flag Speed, Daniel Suarez topped the speed chart, but a very slow pit stop by his crew stopped him from challenging for the win. Chase Elliott was 2nd-fastest in Green Flag Speed while race-winner Michael McDowell was 3rd-fastest.
A couple of notables that ranked higher in Green Flag Speed than they finished the race were Ty Gibbs (5th-fastest but finished 12th), Shane van Gisbergen (6th-fastest but finished 10th), and Brodie Kostecki (11th-fastest but finished 22nd).
