The Verizon 200 at The Brickyard was run at Indianapolis Road Course this past Sunday with Michael McDowell finally getting a road course win after having so many strong runs on this track type in the NextGen car.
McDowell had the best Average Running Position during the race (2.90) with 3rd-place finisher, Daniel Suarez, behind him with a 3.70 Average Running Position. The 2nd-place finisher, Chase Elliott, rounded out the top three with a 3.73 Average Running Position.
All of the top-five finishers in this race also ranked inside the top five when it came to Average Running Position, which we don't see very often.
