BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 20% of leagues
ANALYSIS: The viability of rostering, let alone playing Immanuel Quickley in any fantasy league is entirely linked to RJ Barrett's availability and return to the basketball court after suffering a lacerated finger a few days ago. He should be back as soon as midweek, so keep an eye on it as that development would see him enter the lineup, most probably sending IQ back to the pine.
That said, Quickley has been extraordinary and he's truly made the leap in taking advantage of RJ's injury. The Knicks are in an odd position when it comes to contention/tanking as they have multiple interesting players but none of them is individually great. Whether he remains in NYC or gets traded, Quickley should retain most of his upside.
Quickley has started six games in a row and as a Thibs starter, you know what's happened: 42 MPG, that's what. IQ has dumped 11+ points in 10 consecutive games spanning back to Dec. 20 and he's raised the bar a ton in his six starts of late with an average of nearly 20 PPG. Quickley has dropped 2.8 3PM per game in the last 10 matchups (18 days), shooting a solid 45% from the floor while keeping up gaudy 3-point numbers.
You can forget about Quickley shooting 17+ FGA a pop as he's been doing while starting and getting 40+ MPG, but he should get back to a still-palatable 9-to-10 FGA per game. Other than that, Quickley has been good at dishing out dimes (3.4 APG through the season) and more than anything, on the boards (4.1 RPG) and stealing rocks (1.0 SPG).
Quickley (26.6 MPG) is one of 25 players averaging a per-game 11-4-3-1 line to go with 1.5+ 3PM and the only one doing it on fewer than 30 MPG over the full season.
