Analysis: At the ripe age of 42, Ichiro Suzuki is still producing solid batting figures as he boasts a .317 BA, .391 OBP, and two SB in 41 AB with the Marlins this season. His high BA and OBP are encouraging for his SB potential, as Suzuki was able to steal 11 bases last season with Miami with just a .229 BA and .282 OBP. Ichiro has a .342 BABIP, but his BA looks quite maintainable as he is producing a line drive percentage of 26% on the 83% of balls that he puts into play. Let's not disregard his fantastic strikeout rate and walk rate of 6.5% and 10.9%. Ichiro has found most abundant success this year against RHP and at home. Against RHP, Ichiro has 38 AB, both of his steals for the season, a BA of .342, and an OBP of .405. At home in Miami, Ichiro has a .389 BA and a .500 OBP in 18 AB. Ichiro's slugging doesn't matter. His BA is very high which adds great value and with his OBP this high, he can be sure to grab a sneaky amount of steals, considering his 99% availability.
