BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues
OWNED IN: 24% of leagues
ANALYSIS: The Mariners' bullpen remains a mess, so there should be no doubt that Hunter Strickland will resume his duties as the primary closer once healthy. Good news for fantasy owners desperate for save: The veteran, who has been out since March 29 with a lat strain, is expected to begin a rehab assignment next week. He made strides against lefty hitters last year on his way to 14 saves in the first half before his tantrum-induced broken hand, though spotty control remained a problem. Saves are saves, though, and Strickland does own a career 3.00 ERA despite his flaws. We're not talking about Shawn Chacon, here.
A sizable contingent of the community has held onto their shares of Strickland through his lengthy recovery time, but you can still add him freely in three-quarters of Yahoo leagues right now. Don't expect that number to remain static as his return nears, though - he was below 20% prior to this weekend.
