ANALYSIS: While some big name Red Sox bats have started to go cold lately, the team has found some offense from an unlikely source.

Entering Friday's action, Red Sox outfielder Hunter Renfroe was on a seven-game hitting streak. He closed out May with four consecutive multi-hit games, a streak that included two home runs, five doubles and seven runs.
Renfroe has flashed a great deal of power at the plate over the course of his five-plus years in the Majors. He hit a career-high 33 home runs back in 2019, his final year with the San Diego Padres. This year so far, many of his underlying metrics are looking similar to that 2019 season and he's even improved upon several of them. He currently has a 42.1% hard-hit rate on the year, which is a slight but notable increase from 2019 (39.4%). He's also managed to cut his strikeouts down this year. He has a 24.3% strikeout rate on the year. During his 2019 season, he struck out 31.2% of the time.
There's certainly a chance that this is just a hot streak for Renfroe, but if he can maintain an everyday role in the Red Sox lineup, he's going to produce some solid counting stats even when he cools down. Add him if you need outfield help in all five-outfielder leagues and in all leagues of 12 teams or deeper.
