Huascar Ynoa is a fantasy baseball waiver wire pickup for Week 20 of the 2021 MLB season. Consider adding the SP if he's free agent in your leagues.
BALLER MOVE: Add in 10+ Team Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 45% of leagues
ANALYSIS: When we last saw Huascar Ynoa, he was losing a fight with the clubhouse wall after just his second bad start of the year. His broken hand now healed, the rookie will return to action on Tuesday against the light-hitting Marlins. Prior to his ill-considered foray into pugilism against inanimate objects, the 22-year-old had compiled a 4-2 record with a 3.02 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 50 strikeouts in 44 innings.
Caution may be merited initially; he has been out for three months and while he fanned seven in 4 2/3 innings in his last rehab start, he also walked four batters. Still, Ynoa's upside merits a roster spot in almost all formats, and time is running out to get him on your roster - he's been one of the most popular adds on Yahoo in recent days.
