BALLER MOVE: Target in Rounds 11-13 in All Leagues
ANALYSIS: Howie Kendrick is the 15th ranked second baseman heading into 2015. How(ie) is that possible? Seriously though, Kendrick's .293 batting average ranked third behind two top-tier picks in Robinson Cano and Jose Altuve and it's not a fluke: his batting average over nine years in the league is .292 and shows no sign of decline. By no means is he one dimensional, either. He's racked up 14 SB in four of his major league seasons, smacks a handful of home runs each year, and was top five in RBI in 2014. Still, he's ranked below guys like Daniel Murphy, Jason Kipnis and Kolten Wong? That's just not right. He's been one of the most consistent guys at the position in recent memory.
Keep and eye on him after round 10, because some savvy drafters will have him on their radar and snatch him up early. If you miss out on Kendrick and the other 2B ranked above him, there is a very considerable drop-off into the lower-tier of second basemen.
