PROSPECT: Harry Ford, C, Seattle Mariners
CURRENT LEVEL: Double-A
2024 STATS: 35 G, 134 AB, 164 PA, 4 HR, 22 R, 14 RBI, 9 SB, .267 BA, .415 OBP, .458 SLG
ANALYSIS: The Mariners' first-round pick in 2021 and current No. 2 prospect has shown off his unique offensive abilities and athleticism for a catcher. Ford has top-tier speed averaging 23.5 stolen bases over the last two seasons and is currently on pace for well over that number this season with nine stolen bases. He pairs his great athleticism with an exceptional eye at the plate having averaged over a .400 OBP in every minor league season thus far, including a nearly even 1:1 strikeout-to-walk ratio. These are the kind of tools you'd dream of from any other starting position player, but from a catcher it is remarkable.
Can't get this guy out today.
The @Mariners' Harry Ford piles up 4 hits -- including his second triple in his past two games -- for the Double-A @ARTravs.

The MLB Pipeline's 28th-ranked prospect's future outlook could be the perfect mixture of Adley Rutschman's plate discipline, Salvador Perez's throwing arm, and J.T. Realmuto's athleticism all in one player. His path to the big leagues is currently blocked by not one, but two catchers (Mitch Garver and Cal Raleigh). Due to this, don't expect a call-up anytime soon, barring any injuries to their current catching duo, of course. Harry Ford's most likely outcome is a promotion to Triple-A at some point this season, making it unlikely that he will provide any fantasy-relevant contributions in the 2024 season.
