BALLER MOVE: Add in All Leagues
OWNED IN: 31% of Yahoo! leagues
ANALYSIS: Few ninth inning situations are as confusing as the one led by Brad Ausmus down in Los Angeles. First it was Cody Allen, but injuries and ineffectiveness have left him on the outside. Then, briefly, it was Ty Buttrey, who has been LA's best performing reliever this season, but is now being used in a multi-inning stopper role.
That has left Hansel Robles in the closing role. Robles sports a 28.6% strikeout rate and a 1.12 WHIP, along with three saves, but his 4.24 ERA leaves some to be desired. A 3.18 FIP points to a more promising future, but he is very home run prone, which curtails his value in shallower formats.
Still, for now he's the man to own in the Angels bullpen, although Allen and Buttrey could easily step back into role - not to mention Keynan Middleton, who was the closer before he went down with Tommy John surgery early last season.
I'd be picking up Robles in 12+ team leagues for those desperate for saves, but don't expect him to hold the job forever, and those home runs aren't great for the ratios.
