ANALYSIS: While Hamidou Diallo cooled off a bit against the Lakers on Wednesday, the truth is that the Thunder forward has had quite a week going back to Jan. 8th and that game against the Knicks in which Hami logged a season-high 29 minutes of play and reached his best fantasy score of the year with 43 FP to the tune of a 23-11 dub-dub.
This has been an incredible seven-day span for Diallo, and his rostership of 40%+ in Yahoo leagues is all you need to believe that's been the case. Diallo has scored 9+ points in all of his four games, averaging 18.3 PPG in those four matches and hitting at least a three-pointer in all but one. On top of that, and always playing off the bench, Hami has grabbed 5.8 RPG, dished out 2.3 APG, and shot 63.8 percent from the floor on a more than healthy 10.5 FGA per game.
Diallo is one of the most efficient second-unit players in the L right now. He's playing just below 21 MPG yet his 12-5-2 average line on the season is currently being put up by 59 total players... with all of them playing at least 23.5 MPG compared to Diallo's 20.9. Adding his great 56+ FG% to that baseline, the only seven other players averaging all those marks are Diallo, Thomas Bryant, Holmes, MPJ, Ayton, Adebayo, Anthony Davis, and Jokic (all of them logging 27+ MPG).
