ANALYSIS: We only knew the news barely a few hours ago, but they're quite impactful and could potentially win you the weekend if you are fast and lucky enough to score you some Gus Edwards' shares and have in your lineup for Thanksgiving. Edwards' Week 10 game was, in a word, horrendous. But the recent news around Baltimore will only boost his upside this next Thursday.

See, we all know about COVID and how absolutely nobody is immune to it. Nobody knows where the pandemic will hit next, and who will be forced to get the deactivated list in the NFL. Turns out it's Baltimore's backfield turn this weekend. Except for Edwards, that is. Both Mark Ingram and J.K. Dobbins have tested positive for COVID and Edwards (at least at the time of this writing) has not and is not expected to do so. The Ravens face Pittsburgh in two days, so the former two won't be on the field this week.

Edwards has not been a factor in Baltimore's offense at any point throughout the year, logging a season-low 13 snaps last Sunday. He's yet to top a 43% snap rate. With Ingram missing time, Edwards had his best game a few weeks back (14.7 PPR points) while he also rushed the ball 14 and 11 times in the two matches sandwiching that one. He'll take on RB1 duties next Thursday.

The matchup is nightmarish against the Steelers, sure, but there is no one in Baltimore's backfield good enough to eat from Edwards opportunities. If only because of the volume, Edwards profiles as a high-end RB2 with upside to finish as RB1. Do you know who he put his best performance up against earlier in the year? That's right, Pittsburgh when he was trusted as the leading rusher. Must-add asset if only for a single game, no matter the format of your league.
