BALLER MOVE: Start in 12+ Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: RB3/Flex with touchdown upside
ANALYSIS: Baltimore Ravens running back Gus Edwards continues to score touchdowns. He has scored a touchdown in back-to-back games and has crossed the goal line 11 times since Week 7. That has helped Edwards be a viable RB2 this season. He currently ranks as the RB22 on the year, while averaging 11.6 PPR fantasy points per game.
However, it's been touchdown-or-bust for the 28-year-old veteran in fantasy this season. In seven games without a touchdown in 2023, Edwards is averaging just 4.9 PPR fantasy points per game. When he does score, though, that average jumps up to 17.4 PPR fantasy points across eight games.
But it's too hard to predict if Edwards will enter the end zone in Week 17 against the Miami Dolphins. Miami has only allowed two rush touchdowns to running backs since Week 8, and opposing teams have also averaged less than 2.6 yards per carry on the ground over the past three games. The veteran back is a risky flex play in 12-plus team leagues but does have touchdown upside.
