Griffin Jax is a relief pitcher fantasy baseball draft sleeper, and an ADP draft value for 2024. Target Jax as an undervalued RP in fantasy baseball drafts.

ANALYSIS: With the news breaking that Minnesota's top closer Jhoan Duran will begin the season on the IL, Jax gets an immediate bump in value as he should be the first reliever in line to take over the closer's job while Duran is out.

Jax is a starter-turned-reliever success story, going from a 6.37 ERA over 14 starts in 2021 to back-to-back beautiful RP campaigns in ‘22 and ‘23. He took a small step back last year, (3.86 ERA and 3.36 SIERA compared to 3.36 ERA and 2.98 SIERA in ‘22) but his xERA actually dropped from 3.17 to 2.88 per Statcast.
ATC projections have Jax posting a sub-4.00 ERA and a 1.22 WHIP. If he stumbles in the closer role, then the Twins may look to Brock Stewart as the next option for saves, so he belongs on your radar as well.
