BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team PPR Leagues
ROSTERED: 14% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: Through five games this year, Greg Ward is leading all Philadelphia Eagles wide receivers in targets with 31 and he leads all Eagles pass-catchers with 22 receptions, two more than tight end Zach Ertz.
Ward hasn't been doing a ton with his heavy target share. He has 172 yards on the year, good for 7.8 yards per reception. In Week 5, he caught his second touchdown reception of the year, but was overshadowed by Travis Fulgham, who caught 10 of 13 targets for 152 yards and a score. Fulgham, an undrafted second-year pro, had just two receptions on six targets over four career games prior to this week's breakout.
Ward has the potential to be a safety net receiver of sorts for quarterback Carson Wentz going forward. He could fill the type of role that tight end Dallas Goedert (ankle) played before his ankle injury. The Eagles should have Alshon Jeffery (illness) back as soon as Week 6, which will cost Ward some targets, but could also improve his quality of targets.
Add Ward in PPR leagues of 14 teams or deeper. After the Eagles face the Baltimore Ravens in Week 6, they face the New York Giants in two of their following three games with the Dallas Cowboys sandwiched in between. The Eagles should be able to put up some solid passing yards and points in those three games, making Ward a solid PPR option over that stretch.
