The Green Bay Packers have a history of winning. Over the past 12 years, the Packers have won the division eight times, including three of the past four years.
However, that wasn’t the case in 2022. Green Bay finished third in the division behind the Minnesota Vikings and Detroit Lions.
Now they head into an offseason with several critical decisions. At the top of the list is the future of Aaron Rodgers.

What Are The Green Bay Packers Biggest Needs On Offense?
For the past few years, Rodgers has been the focal point of Green Bay’s offseason. While he has been with the franchise since 2005, many expect the future Hall of Famer to get traded within the next several weeks.
However, the Packers have Jordan Love on the roster. Therefore, quarterback isn't a need for the team this offseason outside of signing a backup for Love.
Last year Green Bay traded Davante Adams to the Las Vegas Raiders for a pair of early draft picks. The team then spent three picks in the 2022 NFL Draft on the wide receiver position. However, the Packers still need help in the passing game.
Tight end Robert Tonyan is a free agent this offseason. Given the team’s salary cap situation, the veteran might have played his final down for the Packers. Furthermore, Marcedes Lewis is also a free agent in March, while Josiah Deguara is entering the last year of his rookie contract.
The best thing Green Bay can do for Love is to give him a reliable option at tight end. One potential draft target is Dalton Kincaid. The star tight end from Utah repeatedly showed an ability to make impressive catches.
What Are The Green Bay Packers Biggest Needs On Defense?
Green Bay has several upcoming free agents on defense, including Jarran Reed. He had a solid season in 2022 but likely won’t be back. However, the Packers have last year’s first-round pick Devonte Wyatt to fill Reed’s shoes.
The team’s top need on defense is in the secondary, mainly at safety. Adrian Amos is a free agent in March and had a poor 2022 season. Meanwhile, Darnell Savage is entering the final year of his rookie contract.
One potential replacement option is Brian Branch. The Alabama defensive players can play all over the secondary. Furthermore, he was one of the top tacklers in college football last season.
