BALLER MOVE: Add in Deep Leagues & AL-Only Leagues
ANALYSIS: After spending the first month of the season on the disabled list, Gordon Beckham has returned to his role of starting second basemen for the Chicago White Sox. Beckham is hitting .378 with 6 R, 3 HR & 6 RBI over his past 9 games. Manager Robin Ventura has been batting Gordon in the leadoff spot with Adam Eaton on the shelf and Beckham will likely hit second when Eaton returns. Make no mistake, Beckham has a strong hold on his position, but the White Sox have a handful of young infielders waiting in the wings. Players like Marcus Semien and Leury Garcia have certainly showed potential this season, and Micah Johnson has been promoted to Triple-A Charlotte after tearing it up in Double-A Birmingham. The youth movement could ultimately be a good motivator for Beckham, who has been producing as of late. He is a solid add in fantasy leagues due to the lack of depth at second base and his ability to drive in runs.
