ANALYSIS: Gordon Beckham seems to have found his form with the White Sox this season. The sure-handed second baseman is one of this year's post-hype sleepers, and has hit safely in 19 of his last 21 games and in each of the last eight, making him a waiver wire pickup to consider. Beckham's average now sits at .296 and he has 18 R 4 HR 11 RBI & 1 SB in 31 games played.
Fantasy owners can count on Gordon batting second and being in the lineup just about everyday. The Sox have been among the top offensive teams this season and Beckham will continue to have plenty of chances to score with Jose Abreu returning from the disabled list in the near future. Beckham has the ability to drive in runs and hit the ball out of the park, but it is his batting average and runs scored that make him a valuable fantasy second baseman.
