BALLER MOVE: Start in 14-Team TE Premium Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: Low-end TE2
ANALYSIS: The Los Angeles Chargers could be in for a long night on Thursday against the Las Vegas Raiders. Los Angeles is starting Easton Stick at quarterback against a Raiders defense that allows the 10th-fewest passing yards per game in the NFL. That essentially means fantasy managers should downgrade their outlook for every Chargers pass catcher, including tight end Gerald Everett.
Last week against Denver, Everett was targeted a season-high eight times, catching five passes for 39 yards. Half of those targets came from Justin Herbert, while the other four targets came after Herbert left the game and was replaced by Stick. Everett caught two of his four targets from Stick for 15 yards.
For Thursday night's game against the Raiders, Everett rates as a low-end TE2 option. If you're in a league where you either have to play a second tight end or get additional points for tight end receptions, there might be a little upside, as it's possible Stick looks to Everett as a kind of safety valve option. Still, that's not enough for Everett to earn a starting spot in a fantasy lineup in the vast majority of leagues.
