Gerald Everett (TE, SEA) - Fantasy Football Week 7 Waiver Wire Pickups

ANALYSIS: We hadn't been able to watch Gerald Everett play football since Week 3 before he got canned from the squad due to COVID-19 protocols for two of the past three weeks. He finally came back last Sunday, and although he found himself playing in a non-quarterback (yes, I said it Geno) offense, he still put up 6.0 PPR points (not great) for a TE2 finish (good enough to keep our hopes up).

Everett's first three games of the year were all around the place. He went for 10 PPR points in W1, then he put up a dud of 1.3 FP, and in W3 he finished with 10.4 PPR points once more. After missing ample time, though, Everett seems to have lost not a single bit of shape and he already put up a 2-of-3 catching game for 40 yards against Pittsburgh this past Sunday. The playing time was limited, though, as he only logged 31 offensive snaps and a 48% snap share that both should rise as early as next weekend (he played 38+ with a 70%+ in all of the first three games of the year).

The Seahawks are going to miss Russell Wilson for a few weeks, and although Geno Smith doesn't project as the ultimate quarterback and passing genius, that could actually boost Everett's upside as a safety blank for the vet. Everett is a solid TE2-floor player at the position with upside for the explosive TE1 game here and there, so all things considered he should be widely rostered and started either as a streamer/good-matchup TE in shallower leagues or weekly in teams of GMs part of deeper formats.
