Cleveland Indians starting pitcher Gavin Floyd caught another tough break this weekend, reinjuring his pitching elbow.
As a member of the Atlanta Braves in 2014, Floyd was in the midst of a comeback from Tommy John surgery. He tossed 54 1/3 innings, with an ERA of 2.65 before suffering a stress fracture in his pitching arm on June 19.
This offseason, Floyd, 32, signed a one-year deal with the Indians worth about four million dollars. His future is up in the air, and surgery is one possible option, according to the Indians.
Floyd has been in the Major Leagues for over a decade, and found most of his success with the White Sox from 2007-2013. For his career, he has a win-loss record of 72-72 and an ERA of 4.40.
