Welcome to the FPL Gameweek 9 rankings, RotoBallers! It's a quick turnaround from Gameweek 8 to Gameweek 9 due to a Monday night and Friday night game. So don't miss the deadline!
Arsenal versus Liverpool is the main game of the weekend. A victory for the visiting side would see them move seven points clear of the Gunners. Arsenal is short-handed, with William Saliba (£6.0m), Riccardo Calafiori (£5.8m), and (potentially) Bukayo Saka missing the contest.
The Gameweek 9 deadline of the 2024/25 Fantasy Premier League season is Friday, October 25 at 1:30 p.m. EDT, when Leicester City and Nottingham Forest clash. FPL Goalkeepers - Gameweek 9 Rankings
Bart Verbruggen (£4.5m) struggled through a couple of tough gameweeks but rewarded his managers with a 10-point haul against Newcastle. It could've been a two-point blank, but the Dutchman kept the Seagulls clean. Another opportunity will come this weekend versus a tepid Wolves attack.
It's the second year in a row that Jordan Pickford (£4.8m) and Everton have gotten off to a slow start but eventually come around. The Toffees shot-stopper has 21 points in his last two games and has a great run of fixtures until Gameweek 15.

FPL Defenders - Gameweek 9 Rankings
People are beginning to lose faith in the Man City defense, but surely a home game versus Southampton will provide a clean sheet. The only question will be who starts for the Cityzens. Josko Gvardiol (£6.1m) is a strong bet because he rested in the midweek Champions League game.
Speaking of losing faith, FPL managers who went big on Arsenal's defense must be wondering where all their points went. The Gunners haven't kept a clean sheet since Gameweek 4, and that run includes games versus Southampton, Leicester City, and Bournemouth. Gabriel (£6.3m) could be staring at another two-point blank.

FPL Midfielders - Gameweek 9 Rankings
For those FPL managers without Erling Haaland (£15.4m), Bryan Mbeumo (£7.6m) is a fantastic differential captain. The Brentford midfielder has scored in every home tie this season, and a date with an incredibly leaky Ipswich defense is on the cards for Gameweek 9.
It's surprising to see Liverpool assets this far down the rankings. Arsenal has a tough defense, but they have some critical injuries. William Saliba (suspension) and Ricardo Calafiori (knee) will miss the clash, which will give Mohamed Salah (£12.6m) plenty of chances to shine.

FPL Forwards - Gameweek 9 Rankings
Erling Haaland isn't just the standout captaincy choice in Gameweek 9; he's under consideration for the Triple Captain chip. The Norwegian strike has six goals in four home matches this season.
Chris Wood (£6.3m) keeps bringing home the points for his FPL managers. The New Zealand big man has five goals in eight games this year and has grabbed a bonus point in every game he's scored. That could happen again on Friday night versus Leicester City.
