Welcome to Gameweek 6 of the FPL season, RotoBallers! This is the third year covering FPL on the site, and we are bringing you more coverage than ever before. We will publish the Gameweek Preview, consisting of a Staff Roundtable and our weekly rankings, every week. Then, once a month, we will publish our newest article (The Watchlist), a review of the previous month and a look ahead to the upcoming fixtures.
Five gameweeks down, 33 more to go. With eight Premier League teams involved in European competitions, the schedule is split over two days with five games each. On Saturday, there are three afternoon games, an early-evening match, and a late-night game. Then, on Sunday, it's a similar schedule with four afternoon games. Then, the weekend wraps up with Newcastle traveling to Sheffield.
The Fantasy Premier League Gameweek 6 deadline is 8:30 AM EST on Saturday, September 23, for three Premier League games. Also, look out for the rest of our excellent soccer coverage as the squad gets you all set for every English Premier League, Major League Soccer, and UEFA Champions League slate from a DFS and betting perspective.
Fantasy Premier League - Gameweek 6 Rankings
Our weekly rankings highlight players who could be worth a punt in your Fantasy Premier League squad. While the rankings will be filled with familiar names, a low-owned player with an easy fixture will rise up the one-week charts. For each gameweek, we will provide our top 15 goalkeepers, defenders, midfielders, and forwards. These can also be applied as DFS rankings for your weekend contests.
Gameweek 5 Fantasy Premier League High Scorers
- Goalkeeper: Norberto Neto, Bournemouth & Robert Sanchez, Chelsea - 10 points
- Defender: Andrew Robertson, Liverpool - 11 points
- Midfielder: Bernardo Silva, Man City - 13 points
- Forward: Julian Alvarez, Man City - 9 points
FPL Goalkeepers - Gameweek 6 Rankings
- FPL managers will expect Man City to keep a clean sheet on Saturday but shouldn't be surprised if it's another disappointing afternoon. The Citizens often give up a mental mistake goal (see Sheffield United, West Ham, and Crvena Zvezda) and only have two clean sheets in five Premier League games. Plus, Nottingham Forest has been quite spicy on the road this season with an upset win over Chelsea and a hard-fought 3-2 loss to Man United.
- You'll notice zero Arsenal goalkeepers in the top 15 for Gameweek 6. That's because a) they've got a high-flying Spurs attack coming to Emirates Stadium, and b) we aren't sure who is starting in the net. Aaron Ramsdale has seemingly lost his place to David Raya. Still, Mikel Arteta has also said he sees the goalkeeper position as a rotation like any other spot on the pitch. The pick is Raya for now because he's a better shot-stopper and distributor.

FPL Defenders - Gameweek 6 Rankings
- After a substantial 11-point game against Wolves, Andrew Robertson is in the top-five defenders for Gameweek 6. FPL managers should proceed with caution, however. We can't expect the left back to score a game-winning goal every weekend.
- Despite some ominous quotes from his manager, Ben Chilwell remains one of the better defender options in the Fantasy Premier League. If he's on the bench again, it's time to abandon ship. Still, he's currently the Captain of the squad, and there were rumors he was carrying a knock for the Bournemouth game. I'm giving Chilwell one more week to come good.

FPL Midfielders - Gameweek 6 Rankings
- The model predicts a game versus Burnley will solve Man United's issues with Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford in the top seven. If they score FPL points, then that's great. If they fail to score FPL, then that's also great because it means we can relieve them from the burden of playing for our FPL squads.
- Like his teammates Ben Chilwell and Nico Jackson, this could be the final stand for FPL managers regarding Raheem Sterling. Outside a 19-point performance against Luton, the FPL points have not flowed for the England international. He looks good on the pitch, but he seems to have a lack of finishing talent around him despite Chelsea's squad equally the GDP of small nations.

FPL Forwards - Gameweek 6 Rankings
- It will be breaking news when Erling Haaland doesn't top the forwards rankings for any gameweek. The Norwegian is racking up xG numbers like a child in a candy store. Yet, his FPL points remain a little light. A home fixture against Nottingham Forest is one of the best chances for Haaland to haul in the season. He won't disappoint.
- Rasmus Højlund opened his Man United account against Bayern Munich in the Champions League on Wednesday and will look to snag his first Premier League goal against Burnley. With Marcus Rashford and Bruno Fernandes feeding him, the budding star will want to prove why the Red Devils broke the bank to acquire him over the summer.
