Gameweek 36 Rankings - Fantasy Premier League Predictions, Tips, and Picks for 2023-24

Welcome to Gameweek 36, RotoBallers! This is our third year covering FPL, and we are bringing you more coverage than ever. We publish two weekly articles: a staff roundtable preview and our weekly rankings. Then, once a month, we have our newest report, The Watchlist, which reviews the previous month and eagerly looks ahead to the upcoming fixtures.

Thirty-five gameweeks down, three to go. With three gameweeks to go, there's still much to be decided in the 2023-24 Premier League. Arsenal and Man City are battling for the title. Half a dozen teams are fighting for vital European slots, and anyone from Nottingham Forest, Luton Town, and Burnley could be playing in the Championship next season. That leaves us with plenty of motivated teams and fantastic FPL options.

The Fantasy Premier League Gameweek 36 deadline is 1:30 p.m. EDT on Friday, May 3, when Luton hopes to upset Everton in a vital relegation clash. Also, look out for the rest of our excellent soccer coverage, as the squad gets you all set for every English Premier League, Major League Soccer, and UEFA Champions League slate from a DFS and betting perspective.

Fantasy Premier League - Gameweek 36 Rankings

Our weekly rankings highlight players who could be worth a punt in your Fantasy Premier League squad. While the rankings will be filled with familiar names, a low-owned player with an easy fixture will rise up the one-week charts. For each gameweek, we will provide our top-15 goalkeepers, defenders, midfielders, and forwards. These can also be applied as DFS rankings for your weekend contests.

Double Gameweek 35 Fantasy Premier League High Scorers

  • Goalkeeper: Dorde Petrovic, Chelsea - 11 points
  • Defender: Trevoh Chalobah, Chelsea - 17 points
  • Midfielder: Conor Gallagher and Noni Madueke, Chelsea - 15 points
  • Forward: Alexander Isak, Newcastle - 13 points

FPL Goalkeepers - Gameweek 36 Rankings

  • It feels a little obvious to highlight the highest-scoring keeper in the Premier League, but Jordan Pickford deserves some love for his recent form. Over the last five gameweeks, the Everton goalie has 36 points with four clean sheets and eight bonus points. Going on the road versus Luton isn't easy, but Toffees manager Sean Dyche is playing Dyche ball down the stretch. It's allowed Everton to survive another year in the top flight with Pickford as its Captain and a worthy FPL pick to mind the net.

FPL Defenders - Gameweek 36 Rankings

  • As you can see from the table below, the model really likes Arsenal against Bournemouth this week. However, with Double Gameweek 37 on the horizon, many FPL managers are looking elsewhere to fill the backline. This is a mistake. Arsenal leads the league with 16 clean sheets, and all their defenders have the possibility of spiking a double-digit haul on any given weekend. Gabriel, Ben White, and William Saliba all have the upside of scoring more FPL points in one fixture than a defender on a lower-level squad with two games.

FPL Midfielders - Gameweek 36 Rankings

  • The rankings were refreshed on Friday morning, and Bruno Fernandes fell from seventh to 13th because of his injury news. Man United manager Erik ten Hag said Fernandes is doubtful for Monday night's game against Crystal Palace. However, FPL managers should not transfer him out, as a double gameweek is on the horizon. If anything, this gives you an excuse to use your transfer at another position and bring in another double gameweek player for Double Gameweek 37.

FPL Forwards - Gameweek 36 Rankings

  • If you are chasing your mini-league rivals down for the final three gameweeks of the season, Chris Wood is an excellent punt along your forward line. Most FPL squads include Erling Haaland, Alexander Isak, Nicolas Jackson, or Dominic Solanke. Wood is in 1.9 percent of teams and has the best matchup in the league against Sheffield United. While it is a road game for Forest, they, and Chris Wood, can take comfort in the fact that the Blades have conceded the most goals at home (51) in the league.
