Welcome to Gameweek 19, RotoBallers! This is our third year covering FPL, and we are bringing you more coverage than ever. We publish two weekly articles: a staff roundtable preview and our weekly rankings. Then, once a month, we have our newest report, The Watchlist, a review of the previous month and a look ahead to the upcoming fixtures.
18 gameweeks down, 20 to go. Another quick turnaround falls into our laps with the festive fixtures well and truly underway. We will likely not receive fitness updates from managers due to the early deadline, so hopefully, you have a strong bench ready to go for Gameweek 19. The most significant situation to monitor is Erling Haaland's fitness. He didn't participate in the Club World Cup, but was pictured in training while Man City was in Saudi Arabia.
The Fantasy Premier League Gameweek 19 deadline is 6:00 AM ET on Tuesday, December 26, when Newcastle meets Nottingham Forest. Also, look out for the rest of our excellent soccer coverage as the squad gets you all set for every English Premier League, Major League Soccer, and UEFA Champions League slate from a DFS and betting perspective.
Fantasy Premier League - Gameweek 19 Rankings
Our weekly rankings highlight players who could be worth a punt in your Fantasy Premier League squad. While the rankings will be filled with familiar names, a low-owned player with an easy fixture will rise up the one-week charts. For each gameweek, we will provide our top-15 goalkeepers, defenders, midfielders, and forwards. These can also be applied as DFS rankings for your weekend contests.
Gameweek 18 Fantasy Premier League High Scorers
- Goalkeeper: James Trafford, Burnley - 9 points
- Defender: Gabriel, Arsenal - 10 points
- Midfielder: Wilson Odobert, Burnley - 14 points
- Forward: Dominic Solanke, Bournemouth - 17 points
FPL Goalkeepers - Gameweek 19 Rankings
- There's a vast difference between Newcastle at home and Newcastle playing on the road. They've allowed the fewest goals (four) in the Premier League in nine home fixtures. However, away from St. James Park, they've conceded the eighth-most (18) in their nine games. Fortunately, they meet Nottingham Forest at home in Gameweek 19, so your defenses filled with Martin Dubravka, Kieran Trippier, and others should be safe for a six-point effort.

FPL Defenders - Gameweek 19 Rankings
- The model fancies Arsenal's chances of a clean sheet against West Ham. While I'm not sold on the Gunners keeping out the Hammers, I would advise some exposure to their backline. Any of their back four is desirable, and you can't go wrong with Oleksandr Zinchenko, William Saliba, Ben White, or Gabriel. I've got Gabriel on my side and was rewarded with a 10-point haul against Liverpool, but it's a guessing game as to which Arsenal defender grabs the next big game.

FPL Midfielders - Gameweek 19 Rankings
- With a fixture crunch, you could be worried that Mohamed Salah will see some rotation shortly. However, with Luis Diaz (knee) nursing an injury and Darwin Nunez and Cody Gakpo out of form, FPL managers can expect the Egyptian King to come through in Gameweek 19. He may play through the middle and get a few more goal-scoring opportunities. Salah will be the most popular Captain this week, so you'll at least want him in your starting XI.

FPL Forwards - Gameweek 19 Rankings
- Erling Haaland's status is up in the air but has to be mentioned ahead of Gameweek 19. The Norwegian did not feature in either of the Club World Cup games for Manchester City last week and hasn't had a full training with the team since Gameweek 16 against Aston Villa. FPL managers can hold off on bringing him back for Gameweek 19 but should make arrangements to welcome him back for a game versus Sheffield United in Gameweek 20.
