Welcome to Gameweek 12, RotoBallers! This is the third year covering FPL on the site, and we are bringing you more coverage than ever before. We will publish the Gameweek Preview, consisting of a Staff Roundtable and our weekly rankings, every week. Then, once a month, we will publish our newest article, The Watchlist, a review of the previous month and a look ahead to the upcoming fixtures.
11 gameweeks down, 27 more to go. Gameweek 11 was a bit of a disaster for several managers, with many of the heavy hitters not returning. The great thing is that another gameweek is right around the corner. Arsenal will try to bounce back versus Burnley, Liverpool faces a suddenly resurgent Brentford, and Man City travels to London to meet a buoyed Chelsea side after its 4-1 victory over Spurs on Monday night.
The Fantasy Premier League Gameweek 12 deadline is 6:00 AM ET on Saturday, November 11, when Wolves welcome Spurs to the Midlands. Also, look out for the rest of our excellent soccer coverage as the squad gets you all set for every English Premier League, Major League Soccer, and UEFA Champions League slate from a DFS and betting perspective.
Fantasy Premier League - Gameweek 12 Rankings
Our weekly rankings highlight players who could be worth a punt in your Fantasy Premier League squad. While the rankings will be filled with familiar names, a low-owned player with an easy fixture will rise up the one-week charts. For each gameweek, we will provide our top 15 goalkeepers, defenders, midfielders, and forwards. These can also be applied as DFS rankings for your weekend contests.
Gameweek 11 Fantasy Premier League High Scorers
- Goalkeeper: Sam Johnstone, Crystal Palace - 9 points
- Defender: Tyrick Mitchell, Crystal Palace - 15 points
- Midfielder: Jeremy Doku, Man City - 22 points
- Forward: Nicolas Jackson, Chelsea - 16 points
FPL Goalkeepers - Gameweek 12 Rankings
- It's interesting to see Alisson atop the goalkeeper rankings in Gameweek 12 despite having a 38 percent chance at a clean sheet. Liverpool conceded a goal to Luton on Sunday, and Brentford is far more deadly. Perhaps the Bees will take some long shots for the Brazilian to save easily and provide some save points and handy BPS material.
- Many managers went with the Alphonse Areola and Matt Turner combination in net for their Wild Cards. Unfortunately, that's not working out well as West Ham couldn't stop a retirement home rec league squad from scoring, and Turner's lost his place in the Forest Starting XI. Maybe Areola can pull off a miracle and keep the Trees off the scoreboard, but FPL managers should prepare for another one or two-point performance.

FPL Defenders - Gameweek 12 Rankings
- When the prices came out in the summer, people scoffed at Ben White's £5.5m pricetag. However, after 11 gameweeks, the Arsenal defender is the third-highest-scoring defender with a terrific run of fixtures on the horizon. Trent Alexander-Arnold has disappointed, Kieran Trippier is now £7.0m, and Matty Cash's returns have dried up. It leaves White as one of the most underrated defenders in the game and well worth a look as a long-term transfer.
- Spurs lost 75 percent of its starting backline in Monday night's clash with Chelsea. Cristian Romero and Destiny Udogie were sent off, and Micky van den Ven (hamstring) could miss a lot of time. This leaves Pedro Porro as the lone starter along the defense, and the injuries leave FPL managers relying only on attacking returns. Spurs will struggle to keep a clean sheet without the core of its defense, and the shine on Porro will begin to fade.

FPL Midfielders - Gameweek 12 Rankings
- Bruno Fernandes was the man of the hour for Manchester United on Saturday with his late game-winning goal against Fulham. However, it was only the third attacking return from the Portuguese midfielder in the last eight Premier League games. He's not at the top of my FPL wishlist this week, but another strong performance against Luton could signal things are getting back on track for United's captain.
- Arsenal is off to another strong start this season, but Bukayo Saka has been disappointing in recent gameweeks. In the last four games, the English midfielder has 0.02 xG in his previous four games combined. That's not good enough for an £8.5m asset in this game. He's also playing far too wide. Hopefully, a game versus Burnley can get Saka and the Gunners heading in the right direction again after Saturday's defeat at Newcastle.

FPL Forwards - Gameweek 12 Rankings
- Erling Haaland came off at halftime against Bournemouth and frustrated several managers with one point. He reportedly picked up an ankle injury but returned in the Champions League midweek and scored. It's encouraging to see him back on the field so soon, and FPL managers can be confident of a start versus Chelsea on Sunday.
- Brighton has tasty fixtures soon and is worth a punt. The only problem is figuring out who to place your bet on. For my money, it's Evan Ferguson. The Irishman has haul potential written all over him. He's already proven it with a hat trick earlier in the season, and a contest against Sheffield United should breed many FPL points.
