BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 2% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: It will take a leap of faith to roster Gabriel Davis entering the second half of the season--let alone start him. But here we are, folks. Davis has been fantastic in two of the past three games played by Buffalo after they went on a Bye back on W7, with the problem that those couple of good games came sandwiching a goose-egg performance in W9.
Obviously, Davis is not going to make the cut in the slightest shallow leagues. And that's not really a problem, it makes sense, and you shouldn't be crazily chasing Davis in such formats. But for those of you in deeper leagues, Davis could save your squad in this or that week while starting at the WR3/WR4/Flex spot. Davis had a good W1 outing going for 12 PPR points, but after that, he became an afterthought only playing more than 34% of the offensive snaps once (in W4, for zero-FP).
Since coming back from the Bye week, though, Davis has logged 81 total snaps for shares of 44, 28, and 52-percent. The Week 9 stinker was horrid, yes, but he was able to put up 12.9 PPR points in W8 (5-4-29-1) and he's coming off his best game of the year with 13.5 PPR points (3-3-105-35) against the Jets this past Sunday. Again, add Davis as cautiously as you can and for what he is: a shaky WR with wild up and downs. Thus, the advise to roster/start in only in the deepest formats ever created.
